Dylan Palmer is an artist and educator practicing in Chicago and teaching multiple disciplines at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Working predominantly in clay, glass, and cast metals, Palmer produces skillful objects that resist categorization and broadly examine symbols of consumption; the vessel, pattern, and craft as records of culture; visual conduits between material and immaterial; redirecting tacit object/image content; offering visual pleasure and moments of perceptual liberation.
